About Sookie
Sookie, more affectionately known as Sookie Cookie Biondi, Sook of the Wook, and an assortment of additional nicknames, will be the first to carry forward our breeding program. We look forward to welcoming her first litter as we continue our commitment to preserving the Saluki’s beauty, grace, and athleticism.
Accomplishments
Sookie is a Grand Champion Bronze who wasted no time making her mark in the ring. She earned her championship at just 13 months old by taking Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2023 Saluki National, and she followed it up by finishing her Grand Championship at only 18 months. Since then, she’s collected multiple group placements in both the NOHS and regular rings and has placed at Saluki specialties across the country. This past fall, Sookie took Best of Breed at the 2025 Hound Specialty in Lebanon, TN.
Health
Sookie has completed all recommended health testing and holds an OFA CHIC certification (No. 208778). Her official health testing results are publicly available through the OFA database.
On the Field
Sookie absolutely loves the show ring, but her favorite place is on the field. While our recent focus has been on conformation, she has still found time to earn both her Coursing Ability (CA) title and BCAT title in Fast CAT events. Sookie comes from a long line of accomplished field champions, and our goal is to shift our focus toward earning her own Field Champion title in the near future.
Pedigree
Sookie comes from a long line of well-established Salukis known for excellence in both the show ring and the field. Her lineage reflects generations of healthy, accomplished dogs bred by preservation breeders dedicated to maintaining the integrity and vitality of this ancient breed. Sookie was bred by Dr. Caroline Coile.
