Majestic One Luki Muppet CM2

About Muppet
Wait, what? That’s not a Saluki! Shhhh… don’t tell Muppet. He fully believes he is one. I had been wanting a toy dog for a very long time and spent more than a year researching and tossing out one breed after another.
We were Luki enough to meet the Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonka at a dog show, and I immediately fell in love with these sturdy little toy dogs. They are, in fact, the “messy bun” of the toy world.
Muppet joined our crew in April of 2025 and wasted zero time becoming the boss of everyone else. When he isn’t in the show ring, his favorite pastime is playing hard with the Salukis, and we find their antics endlessly amusing.
Muppet was bred by April Ellison, and we are grateful she trusted us to keep him alive in a house full of sighthounds.
Accomplishments
When we decided to get a Bolonka, our primary goal was simply to enjoy the company of a lap dog. Little did we know that this Feather Duster would set the show world on fire. Muppet finished his CM1 certificate with a Best in Miscellaneous win behind every single point. He recently wrapped up his CM2 and is consistently winning Best of Breed from the puppy class whenever he is shown.
On January 1, these little dusters become fully recognized by AKC, and we are excited to begin his championship journey. Keep an eye on this guy… he is a Boss Baby.

On the Field
The Feather Duster enjoys the chase every bit as much as the Salukis. While he isn’t old enough to run with the big kids just yet, we fully expect this little powerhouse to tear it up on the Fast CAT field the moment he’s eligible. He’s already clocked in at 15 mph—which is downright impressive for a feather duster with legs.
Meet the Breed
If Russia ever needed an undercover agent disguised as a dust bunny, they invented the Tsvetnaya Bolonka for the job. These small, outrageously charming dogs were originally bred to be apartment-friendly companions—because even the czars knew you sometimes need a fluffy emotional support unit that weighs less than a large bag of flour.
The RTB is a small, sturdy, and expressive toy breed known for its gentle temperament and affectionate nature. According to the AKC website, Bolonki are cheerful, intelligent, and highly adaptable. They bond closely with their families and thrive in a wide range of living situations—from quiet apartments to Saluki-filled households.
Their hallmark coat—soft, wavy to curly, and found in a variety of colors—adds to their distinctive appearance and is low-shedding, making them well-suited for indoor life. While they do require regular grooming, their coat is manageable with routine care.
